Haiku Exemplar

Step 1. What is Haiku?


A Japanese haiku poem is usually about nature, is rhymeless and has 3 lines that follows these rules.

The first line has 5 syllables.
The second line has 7 syllables.
The third line has 5 syllables

Example:

Quietly leaves fall


Gathering for one last time


Autumn speaks softly.

Step 2. Write a haiku poem in MS Word following the rules above.

Step 3. Get teacher approval on the final poem.

Step 4. Create a new folder inside your Technology Literacy folder called “Haiku.”

Step 5. Go to Creative Commons to do an image search. Type your subject in the search box, click on Google Images.
Step 6. Save 6 images that compliment your haiku to your haiku folder.

Teacher will demonstrate the following
1. Importing images into Photo Story 3.2. Creating titles & credits
3. Recording Narration
4. Creating music
5. Saving final movie Start making your movie! Open Photo Story 3, import your pictures, SAVE TO H:DRIVE, TECH LIT, HAIKU FOLDER.
